Handwritten on reverse: "New Brick Church built 1839; length 66 ft.; width 54 ft.; height 26 ft., stones of old church & stones of Le Fevre house northern part of church yard went to build foundation. Old bell to schoolhouse, new bell cost $375. -History of New Paltz, Le Fevre, pp. 158-159."
