Color photograph of the stained glass window in the Thomson Memorial Library on the Vassar College campus in Poughkeepsie. From the reverse: "The Great Window in the Thompson Memorial Library at Vassar College, given in 1905 by Mrs. Frederick Ferris Thompson. The central figure of the window is Elena Lucrezia Cornaro Piscopia, the first woman in the world to be granted a the degree of Doctor of Philosophy. This took place at the University of Padua, June 25, 1678. At the request of the Class of 1912 arrangements have just been made to illuminate the window."
